For 17 years she has been teaching children about God’s work. And a month ago, she joined the flock in Georgetown to lead Christian education at the First Congregational Church.

Gloria Webster has been named director of Christian education, a new position at the United Church of Christ-based church.

She spent 13 years as director at the First Congregational in Swampscott.
