Board of Christian Education
The Board of Christian Education shall be responsible for:
- All educational programs sponsored by the Church except for adult worship services
- Appointing and overseeing a Director of Christian Education
- Providing the Director of Christian Education with performance appraisals and making recommendations regarding the Christian Education Director’s salary to the Finance Committee at least annually
- Recruiting and appointing the teachers and teachers’ aides of the Church School and the Youth Group Leaders
- Providing equipment and supplies and arranging the curriculum of the Church School within the budget approved by vote of the church at the Annual Meeting
- Obtaining the approval of the Finance Committee before committing the Church to expenditures in excess of the approved budget
- Appointing one of its members to clear a CORI/SORI check and serve on the Safe Church Committee
- Presenting a written report summarizing Christian Education activities for the previous year at each Annual Meeting.
